Trading Card Pack Odds: 100 Configurations Audited
This database audits exactly 100 manufacturer-sealed physical trading-card configurations. It contains 61 rows with numeric manufacturer-document ratios, nine rows tied to official documents whose selected cells have no numeric ratio, and 30 Pokémon and One Piece rows with bounded unavailable findings. Only the 61 numeric rows support the 50%, 75%, and 90% repeated-opening calculations.
Read this as an audit, not a master list or a "best pack" ranking. We followed one selected component through one named release and format at a time. Price and EV are outside the dataset. So are substitutions: a Hobby figure cannot answer for Jumbo, and a digital rate or community opening sample cannot fill a missing physical-product cell.

What the trading card pack odds database covers
The file contains 100 selected physical configurations: 25 baseball, 20 football, 15 basketball, 10 soccer, 20 Pokemon, and 10 One Piece. Search by release and format first. Then verify the component, evidence status, denominator, and source locator; the set name alone is not a row identity.
A database row is one release-format-component intersection. For example, “2026 Bowman Baseball” is not a complete row identity. “2026 Bowman Baseball, Hobby, Base Cards Sky Blue parallel” is. The corresponding raw ratio, denominator unit, PDF page, table row, format column, checked date, calculation status, and thresholds remain attached to that identity.
That design makes the artifact narrower than a complete product model but more useful for verification. It does not imply that the selected component is the only desirable pull in a product. It does not claim to describe every parallel, insert, autograph, card subject, or grade. It records a source-addressable intersection that another researcher can check.

The on-page table filters those rows by category, release, format, evidence status, and calculator eligibility. Use the CSV for spreadsheet work or the JSON for code. Both retain row identities.
We have not published a dataset-level hash because the research packet contains hashes for different objects. Manufacturer-document hashes remain valid at row level when the hashed file is unambiguous.
Official trading card pack odds: three evidence statuses
Our review ended with three kinds of rows. Sixty-one have a usable number in a manufacturer document. Nine point to the right official document and cell, but that cell is not numeric. The remaining 30 record a bounded search that did not find a physical product-and-format ratio. Only the first group goes into the probability calculator; blanks stay blank.
Numeric manufacturer-document ratio: the release, format column, and component row meet at a value such as 1:268, and the denominator has been resolved as packs. All 61 calculator-eligible records pass both checks.
Official document, no numeric selected-cell ratio: we found the PDF, page, row, and column, but the selected intersection contains a dash, a blank, or another nonnumeric entry. That happened in nine sports rows. They are not generic "unavailable" records because the evidence location is known; they are also not odds records because the selected cell supplies no number.
Bounded unavailable: by August 7, 2026, the named official physical-product page had been checked and did not show the required product-and-format physical-pack ratio. This covers 20 Pokemon configurations and 10 One Piece configurations. It is deliberately narrow. Packaging, another region, a support document, or a later upload could contain evidence that the reviewed page did not.
"Official" describes who published a page; it does not promise that the page answers this question. A product page can verify a release without publishing pull ratios. Even an odds PDF can have a dash at the exact row-column intersection being audited. We calculate only after finding a defined event, a raw ratio, a pack denominator, and the exact format locator together.
When one of those pieces is missing, the record fails closed. No neighboring format is borrowed, no community openings are averaged in, and no box statement is divided into a made-up per-pack rate.

A row should be cited as a bundle, not as a loose number. Keep the release and exact format beside the component, raw ratio, denominator unit, URL, PDF page, table row, format column, checked date, and calculator status. Drop the wrong field and a reproducible claim can turn into a different claim.

The quotable finding is not the shorthand "2026 Bowman has 1:268 odds." It is the row itself: Base Cards Sky Blue, 1:268 per pack, 2026 Bowman Baseball Hobby column.
The Breaker Delight entry sits on the same PDF page and the same BASE CARDS SKY BLUE row. Its selected column contains a dash. We keep that locator, then leave ratio and threshold empty. In other words, the source exists while a numeric result at that intersection does not.

We also retain source-document hashes where the hashed object is unambiguous. They help detect a changed file, but they are poor citations on their own: a hash cannot point a reader to the component row or format column. In published work, name the manufacturer document and include page, row, and column. The CDN hostname is merely where the file is served.
Why format changes sports card pack odds
Hobby, Jumbo, Value, Hanger, Mega, Breaker, Sapphire, and other named formats can have different ratios within the same release. The 2026 Bowman Base Cards Sky Blue parallel is 1:268 in Hobby and 1:77 in Jumbo. A set name alone therefore cannot identify the applicable sports card pack odds.
Topps gives formats separate columns, and we keep them separate. A Jumbo pack uses the Jumbo column, not the Hobby figure from the same release. Bowman supplies a clean fixed-component comparison:

This table compares one component across formats. It cannot choose the best overall Bowman product; that would require compatible evidence for the rest of the product, price, and the collector's target.
Two other files show the same column discipline. In the 2026 Topps Chrome Baseball PDF, Base Cards Refractor is 1:3 in Hobby and 1:1 in Jumbo. The 2025 Topps Chrome Football PDF has distinct Hobby, HTA Jumbo, Breaker Delight, Sapphire, Value, Mega, Hanger, and Fanatics columns.
Topps describes these documents as the intended configuration at production and warns that actual stated odds may vary. We retain that qualification.
Trading card pull odds: component rate versus card probability
The event label controls the claim. Base Cards Sky Blue parallel, Base Refractor, and Veteran Class Autograph are component classes, not one named card. Exact-card odds need a second verified denominator for the eligible subjects inside that class; this audit does not have it.
Take the 1:268 Bowman figure. It answers how often the document says the Sky Blue component occurs under its pack denominator. It does not reveal the chance of one named prospect's Sky Blue card. That second question depends on the eligible checklist population and the way cards are selected within the component. We found no basis for inventing either input, so the exact-card field is absent.
The event definition and denominator unit must travel with the decimal probability. Converting 1:268 into approximately 0.003731 does not make the result more informative if “Sky Blue parallel” and “per pack” disappear. Methodologies that model pull rates, such as TCGscreener’s disclosed pull-rate framework, likewise show why slot, rarity, and specific-card questions require different denominators.
Component language also prevents taxonomy errors. In ordinary Panini Prizm basketball, soccer, and post-2017 football sets, the standard rookie is the base-set card and Silver Prizm is an unnumbered parallel. The narrow 2016–17 Prizm Football exception uses a Silver-style finish on rookie base cards and has no separate Silver rookie parallel. A database that treated every “Silver” label as the same event would misidentify the card lineage before reaching the math.
Grading creates another separate question. A sealed-product component rate normally says nothing about the probability that a pulled card will later receive a particular grade. Grading fees, service levels, and submission decisions belong in the card grading cost calculator, not in this pack-odds dataset.
Card pack probability calculator: 50%, 75%, and 90% thresholds
The calculator converts one eligible per-pack ratio into the first whole-pack count reaching a 50%, 75%, or 90% at-least-one probability. The arithmetic can be reproduced in four lines:
- Eligible per-pack probability: \(p\).
- One-pack miss probability: \(1-p\).
- Miss every time across \(n\) independent openings: \((1-p)^n\).
- At least one appearance: \(1-(1-p)^n\).
For each row, the calculator returns the first whole pack count reaching 50%, 75%, or 90%. These are probability milestones, not scheduled hits.
To solve for a target probability \(t\), the calculator uses:

The ceiling is not cosmetic: nobody opens a fraction of a pack. For the statistical assumptions, we checked the NIST binomial reference, Penn State's binomial lesson, and OpenStax. All three require the same essentials used here: independent trials and an unchanged success probability. Penn State also works through "at least one" by taking the complement of zero.
For the 2026 Bowman Hobby Sky Blue row, \(p=1/268\). Running the formula and rounding up gives:
- 50%: 186 packs
- 75%: 371 packs
- 90%: 616 packs
The matching Jumbo input is \(p=1/77\); its three counts are 54, 107, and 177 packs. Anyone using the same published inputs and formula should get those outputs. They say nothing about price or value, and they cannot tell you which opening will contain the component.

What the pull rate calculator can and cannot prove
What the calculator proves is narrow: given a fixed, independent per-pack probability, it reproduces the pack count for an at-least-one target. It does not verify how a real production run was collated. It cannot predict the next opening or turn a component rate into exact-card odds. Boxes, cases, mixed formats, price, expected cost, profitability, and EV are not calculated here.
Even at the 90% line, the model leaves a 10% chance of zero copies. Crossing that line does not make the next pack "due," either; each modeled opening still uses the same \(p\).
We populate a threshold only after every item below is true:
- The source supplies an exact numeric ratio for the selected component-format cell.
- The denominator is resolved as packs.
- The row is explicitly marked eligible.
- The output concerns at least one appearance of that same component class.
- The calculation uses repeated openings from the exact same format.
A dash, blank, unresolved denominator, digital rate, or bounded not-found result stops the calculation. A box guarantee stops it too. Dividing that guarantee by the number of packs would manufacture an independent per-pack rate that the source never supplied.
Price is not a populated field, which is why there is no "cost to 50%" figure. We also leave out combined-format math, sealed-case projections, market-value scores, and return estimates. A blank is more useful than a precise-looking answer built on an assumption we could not verify.
Baseball card pack odds: a format-matching field example
The Bowman rows make format matching easy to see. Keep the release and Base Cards Sky Blue component fixed, then move across the document: Hobby is 1:268, Jumbo is 1:77, and Value Box CEE is 1:214. Breaker Delight has a dash at that selected cell, so its threshold remains empty.
The Breaker Delight dash does not erase the rest of the Bowman odds document. It says only that the selected Base Cards Sky Blue intersection did not supply a numeric ratio in that format column. Other rows in the document may still contain numeric values for Breaker Delight, just as other Bowman formats contain numeric Sky Blue values.
The same cell-level rule is visible in the 2025 MLS Chrome document. Its Base Cards Refractor row reports 1:6 in Hobby, 1:7 in Value, a dash in Hanger, 1:1 in Mania, and a dash in Sapphire. The Hanger and Sapphire findings apply to that selected component row; they do not prove that those entire products lack published odds.
Product shorthand causes another easy error. Topps Chrome, Topps Series 1, Topps Series 2, and Bowman are separate releases with their own columns and component definitions. For example, the 2026 Topps Series 1 Hobby Gold row is 1:49. That number cannot be carried over to the 2026 Topps Series 2 Hobby Gold row just because both labels contain "Gold."

Football, basketball, and soccer odds: same method, different components
The method stays fixed across football, basketball, and soccer, but each result remains attached to its named component and exact product format. This is the audited map:

Compare only within one event. A Base Refractor denominator and a Veteran Class Autograph denominator are answers to different questions.
The 2025 Topps Signature Class Football rows show the mismatch. Veteran Class Autograph appears at 1:111 in Hobby, 1:8 in Jumbo, 1:109 in Mega SE, and 1:131 in Value Box EA. Those are useful autograph-class figures, not substitutes for Base Refractor figures. For an actual product choice, use the football pack guide.
The 2025–26 Topps Chrome Basketball document puts Base Refractor at 1:3 in HTA Hobby, 1:1 in HTA Jumbo and HTA Breaker, and 1:7 in HTA Sapphire. Soccer provides the sharpest warning against sorting unlike denominators. The 2025–26 Topps UEFA Club Competitions PDF has separate columns for Hobby, Value, Hanger, London Store, Carnaval, Japan, and Spring Tin. Neon Yellow Flowfractor is 1:24 in Hobby and London Store; Holo Foil is 1:10 in Value and Hanger. The smaller number measures a different component, so it cannot prove that Value or Hanger is the better product. Pokemon booster pack odds: what unavailable means here
Twenty exact Pokémon configurations preserve a dated not-found result: a manufacturer-published physical product-and-format ratio was not found on the linked official product page by August 7, 2026. The database does not fill those rows with digital rates, observed samples, community models, or numbers borrowed from another set.
The physical Pokémon Perfect Order page identifies products including a Booster Display, Booster Bundle, and Elite Trainer Box. On the page reviewed for this audit, it did not display physical product-and-format pull ratios. That finding supports an unavailable record for the named source and configuration, not a universal claim about every Pokémon publication or package.
Pokémon also publishes a Pokémon TCG Live drop-rate page. Its scope is explicitly digital. Those rarity-by-slot rates cannot populate physical Booster Display, Booster Bundle, or Elite Trainer Box rows. A first-party number can still be the wrong evidence when its product environment differs from the question.
Observed physical openings are useful for another job. TCGplayer’s Phantasmal Flames study reports results from more than 5,000 physical packs and presents 95% confidence intervals. That can support a sampled-rate discussion. It cannot be relabeled as a manufacturer-published ratio, and its estimated specific-card rates should remain estimates.

One Piece booster pack odds: preserve the source gap
Ten exact One Piece booster configurations retain bounded unavailable findings. Each linked Bandai product page confirmed the named physical product, but the reviewed page did not supply a manufacturer-published product-and-format pull ratio by August 7, 2026. No neighboring set or community average replaces the missing value.
The official A Fist of Divine Speed OP-11 page provides concrete product information: a June 6, 2025 release date, a $4.99-per-pack MSRP, 128+1 card types, and a rarity inventory. It did not provide a physical product-and-format pull ratio on the page reviewed for this audit.
That is a useful negative-evidence result because it defines exactly what was checked. The record does not say that no One Piece odds information could exist elsewhere. It says the named source was reviewed by the cutoff and did not answer the numeric physical-pack question.
Filling the field with a rate from a different language release, another OP set, a box-opening video, or a community average would make the row appear more complete while weakening its audit value. The database instead preserves the source gap and leaves its probability and threshold fields blank.

Manufacturer, sampled, modeled, and digital rates answer different questions
The evidence label tells you what a number can support:

We do not average those four types. Nor do we rank refractors, color parallels, autograph classes, Holo Foils, Flowfractors, and unavailable records by denominator as though they were the same target. Pack price, EV, cost-to-threshold, profitability, and a universal winner are absent because the validated inputs are absent or incompatible.
How to verify, cite, and refresh a database row

The CSV is suited to spreadsheets; keep the row ID in any derived table. The JSON preserves booleans, nulls, negative-evidence records, and eligibility reasons for code.
A threshold needs its event. For example: the eligible 2026 Bowman Baseball Hobby row lists Base Cards Sky Blue at 1:268 per pack; under the stated model, 616 independent openings reach a 90% at-least-one probability. "The 90% threshold is 616 packs" drops too much context.
When a source file or product format changes, the row gets a new checked date, locator review, evidence status, and changelog entry. Thresholds are recalculated only if the revised row still qualifies.
